Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! The Magic Kingdom is about to get a whole lot more horsepower as a new "Cars"-themed area zooms into Frontierland. That’s right—Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater are trading in Radiator Springs for the Wild West, and we couldn’t be more revved up about it!

A New Frontier: "Cars" Themed Attractions Coming to Magic Kingdom

At the recent Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase during D23, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro, with a little help from Tow Mater (because who doesn’t need a tow truck BFF?), dropped the big news: Frontierland is getting a high-octane makeover with two brand-new "Cars"-themed attractions. And no, this isn’t just another pit stop—this is a full-throttle transformation that’s set to take the park by storm.

The Spirit of the American West Meets the Need for Speed

Josh reminded us that the American West has always been about blazing new trails, believing in yourself, and pushing toward success. Whether you’re a miner in the mountains, a bear from the country, or, yes, even a racecar from the big city, there’s a place for you in this new frontier. And what better way to celebrate that than by throwing in a few engine revs and tire squeals?

Two New "Cars" Attractions Set to Thrill

So, what can you expect from this turbo-charged addition to Magic Kingdom? Get ready to buckle up for not one, but two "Cars" attractions that promise to deliver thrills for both big and little racers.

1. Rally Through the Mountains

The first attraction will take you on a high-speed rally race through rugged mountain terrain. Picture it: you’re racing up and down trails, dodging geysers, and—Mater’s personal favorite—splashing through some serious mudholes. It’s an adrenaline-pumping adventure that’s sure to get your wheels spinning!

2. Fun for the Whole Family

Worried that your littlest pit crew members might be left in the dust? Fear not! The second attraction is designed with younger racers in mind, making it a perfect family experience. The details are still under wraps, but if it’s anything like the rest of the "Cars" franchise, we can expect plenty of laughs, smiles, and maybe even a few surprise honks.

Work Begins in Early 2025

Now, before you start planning your road trip to Magic Kingdom, take note: work on this new space will begin in early 2025. So, while you might have to wait a bit to race through these new attractions, rest assured that Disney’s Imagineers are already hard at work turning this dream into a reality. Josh D’Amaro made it clear that this isn’t just some pie-in-the-sky idea—plans are drawn, dirt is moving, and this new Frontierland is on its way!

Ready, Set, Go!

Whether you’re a die-hard "Cars" fan or just love the thrill of a new Disney attraction, this news is sure to get your motor running. So, keep your eyes on the horizon and get ready to race into a new chapter of Frontierland’s story.

See you at the finish line!
