Disney just dropped some major news at the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and it’s going to make your future visit to Walt Disney World Resort even more magical (if that’s even possible). Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro had so many announcements that he had to call in some backup from Darren Criss and Skylar Astin to help share the excitement. Among the rapid-fire reveals were two new lounges set to open in 2025, and trust me, you’re going to want to check these out!

A New Lounge Inspired by Spaceship Earth: Epcot’s Shining Star Gets a Refreshment Station

For over 40 years, Spaceship Earth has been the symbol of EPCOT, standing tall as a beacon of hope, optimism, and let’s be honest, the perfect photo op. Now, this iconic attraction is getting its very own lounge! Imagine a zen space where you can gather with friends, sip on something refreshing, and soak in the vibes of this futuristic yet timeless sphere. This lounge will be draped in rich textures and warm metallic tones, offering an atmosphere that’s both mysterious and elegant. It’s the perfect spot to reflect on your journey through time and space—or just take a break from the Florida heat.

Set course for Magic Kingdom, where a new pirate-themed tavern is ready to welcome all ye scallywags, buccaneers, and landlubbers alike! Originally announced at Destination D23 last year, this rambunctious watering hole is the perfect place to raise a toast to the pirate life. With X marking the spot, you can expect a sea-worthy selection of grogs and grub that would make even Jack Sparrow proud. This tavern will be a haven for all pirate-kind, whether you’re a seasoned sailor or just starting your adventure on the high seas.
